As iolo Personal Firewall is defending your computer, you may see messages titled Allow Outgoing Access?, Allow Incoming Access?, and Communication Blocked.
Note: When you first install iolo Personal Firewall, you may see several of these messages, but as the firewall gains knowledge of your Internet preferences, you will see less of them.
The Allow Outgoing Access? and Allow Incoming Access? prompt windows display when a program is attempting Internet communication and the firewall needs a decision from you on how to proceed.
For trusted programs, simply click Allow always. You can also block or allow access for the application one time, or block access all of the time.
The window also displays information about the program, to help you decide whether or not you want to give it access.
See Allow Access? (Program Access Prompt) for more information.
The Communication Blocked window displays when a program is attempting to access a blocked port. This window is basically informational, but it does give you the option of opening the port to communication.
For trusted communications, click the Allow link to open the port.
